Academic struggles are not uncommon, even for U of T students. You may be experiencing a heavy workload, are not interested in a particular required course, need an academic accommodation or don’t know how to talk to your prof.
There are many people and resources in Student Life and your faculty or college to help you improve your academic performance, including learning strategists, your registrar, study groups, writing centres, mentoring groups and professor office hours.
Also, look for Course Correction, a program for students who have experienced academic setbacks and who want to build resilience and academic skills.
If none of this is resonating with you and you are in distress, we can connect you to the help you need.
Reminder: Students who experience disability-related barriers in their coursework may receive academic accommodations including the support of assistive technologies. Please contact Accessibility Services for more information.
