In partnership with Health and Wellness Centre, we offer holistic, culturally grounded mental health and wellness supports for Indigenous students. These services are led by the Indigenous Wellness Counsellor & Coordinator and are open to all self-identified First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students across all three campuses at U of T.
Whether you’re looking for someone to talk to, need support navigating life’s challenges, or want to explore some wellness strategies, we’re here to walk alongside you on your wellness journey.
The Indigenous Wellness Counsellor can support students with:
- One-on-one, confidential counselling that is culturally supportive and trauma-informed.
- Exploring wellness strategies rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
- Navigating academic, personal, and community-related stress in a safe, affirming space.
- Connecting with additional wellness resources, services, and referrals on campus and in community.
- Participating in cultural programming and wellness-focused events.
