A constitution is a document that outlines your club’s mandate, membership rights, transparency, accountability and democratic principles and is central part of your club’s operation. A constitution is required when applying for student group recognition. Use the Recognized Campus Group Constitution Template (DOCX) to make sure that your group’s constitution meets the requirements of the University’s Policy on the Recognition of Student Groups, Policy on Open, Accessible, and Democratic Autonomous Student Organizations, and Tri-Campus Guidelines on the Recognition of Student Groups (PDF). You can also contact the Clubs Help Desk for help.
