Impostor syndrome describes the worry that you are not as smart, capable or knowledgeable as your peers. If you experience impostor syndrome, you may feel that you are “faking it” and your classmates are eventually going to realize that you “don’t belong here”.
These beliefs and feelings are common among graduate students. You are not alone!
Attend an Overcoming Impostor Syndrome workshop to:
- understand what impostor syndrome is
- explore how impostor syndrome affects our behaviours and actions
- learn about the factors that put people more at risk for experiencing it
- develop strategies and skills for managing and overcoming these beliefs
Program EligibilityUniversity of Toronto graduate students across all three campuses (St. George, Mississauga and Scarborough)
