Identify, Assist, Refer (IAR) asynchronous online training prepares you with skills and information to support individuals experiencing different types of challenges that impact mental health.
This 30-minute asynchronous online training teaches you how to recognize student distress, begin supportive conversations, and make effective referrals.
IAR was developed in response to the University of Toronto Student Mental Health Strategy and Framework.
Deepen your knowledge
If you have already completed IAR, you can build on your knowledge and skills by taking IAR+, a companion workshop where you practice supporting individuals with mental health challenges through tailored case studies, boundary activities and role-play.
