          If you have a concern about a student service located on the St. George Campus, your first step is to talk to the Director of the service.

          If your concern has not been resolved after taking this step, your second step should be to contact the Executive/Senior Director of the service.

Mindfulness, yoga & well-being

Our dynamic team of staff and facilitators are excited to bring mindfulness, yoga and wellbeing to faculty, staff and students. Workshops can be arranged by request on a variety of topics for classrooms, staff meetings, lunch and learns and student organizations.

Workshop Request Eligibility

Workshops by request are available to U of T faculty and staff.

Students interested in hosting a workshop by request should work in collaboration with a staff member who can arrange the booking. Student clubs are advised to take the Clubs Essentials workshop on Membership Engagement prior to organizing events.

Available Workshops

This interactive workshop combines a lesson, practice, group discussion and Q&A. It is a great way to introduce your students to the foundations of the what, how and why of mindfulness meditation.

Self-care isn’t a set of guidelines from experts; it’s a personal recipe that we each create for ourselves by trying new things and reflecting on their merit for us personally. This workshop will provide some helpful definitions and introduce micro practices that can support your wellbeing and take less than 10 minutes a day. By the end of this workshop, you will be moving closer to figuring out your own wellness recipe!

Mindful eating is a simple technique that can be integrated into your daily life as a way to be mindful when time is limited. It is a beautiful practice that connects us to the earth and others through cultivating gratitude.

If offering this workshop in person, the host will be required to organize some type of food (often a choice of raisins or chocolate) for participants to use. If the workshop is virtual, participants will need to be instructed to have a small amount of food ready to eat during the workshop.

  • A minimum of 12 participants is required

Mindful listening and talking are skills that support positive friendships and improve our classroom and group work productivity. When we feel truly heard by someone else, we feel valued and seen. In this way, mindful communication supports care in our community.

  • A minimum of 12 participants is required

This workshop helps students build a holistic schedule that includes classwork, studies and self-care. Participants will reflect on their own values and preferences and plan to take action.

Get outside and enjoy some fresh air while being mindfully connected to the present moment. Mindful walking or wheeling is a practice that can be engaged in your day every day! This 20-30 minute workshop can take place at Philosophers Walk or other greenspace on campus.
