Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Metis) students can meet one-to-one at First Nations House with the Indigenous learning strategist. The learning strategist will work together with Indigenous students to support, plan, and identify individualized strategies that can enhance academic success and can provide individualized, student-centred learning support using holistic approaches.
The Learning Strategist can help students:
- Identify learning strategies to build sustainable study habits.
- Set personalized academic goals and develop a strategic plan to achieve them.
- Develop skills in areas such as organization, time and stress management.
- Design individual study plans and strategies to improve test preparation, taking notes, effective reading.
- Manage challenges with motivation and procrastination.
