How The Program Works
Program process
- Join the UT3 Quercus course.
- Complete module UT3 101 to access further asynchronous modules on Quercus.
- Successfully complete an Introductory Workshop and Skills Assessment module to access further synchronous modules on Folio.
- Complete the other modules in any order you choose, except for Using Questioning to Support Active Learning, which requires completion of Assignment and Syllabus Analysis.
- Once all modules are completed, you will be added to the U of T Tutor Directory as a “Trained” tutor.
- Trained tutors need at least 73% in the courses they wish to tutor.
- After they complete 25 hours of tutoring within 24 months, they become “Experienced” tutors in the Tutor Directory and lead a Community of Practice every 24 months.
- This designation lasts up to two years after graduation.
All synchronous training modules are offered at multiple times and can be found on Folio.
Details about the U of T Tutor Directory will be provided soon.
Community of Practice
Experienced tutors lead the Community of Practice (CoP) sessions, open to all UT3 participants. CoPs involve group discussions on various topics to enhance peer-to-peer learning.
