Be more calm, confident and connected. Join weekly opportunities Mondays through Fridays to practice secular mindful meditation techniques that will increase your relaxation and focus.
Mindfulness is a practice of being aware of yourself, your body and your surroundings in the present moment. Rooted in Buddhism as a spiritual practice, it is also used in clinical psychology to help treat patients with chronic anxiety and stress. By learning to incorporate principles of mindfulness in your life through meditation and yoga, you can improve how you manage academic stress.
Join our Mindful Moments instructors. Each instructor’s class is shaped by their unique academic and personal experience with mindfulness. We encourage you to take a couple of minutes out of your busy day to read about each of our Mindful Moments instructors (PDF) and to drop in to their classes.
Mindful Moments is CCR-eligible if you participate in 10 sessions and complete a reflection. Search “Personal Mindfulness Practice for Wellbeing” in the CCR Opportunity Directory.
If you’re interested in becoming a student mindfulness facilitator, apply for the MindFIT Student Facilitator Training Program.
While you are here, sign up for the Mindful Moments newsletter and join Mindful Moments at U of T’s Facebook group.
