Grad Productivity Group: Actually Work from Home is a supportive online environment where you can work in company with grad school peers. The goal is for you to have supportive, structured time in your week on a regular basis. Sit down, turn off your other devices and boost your productivity for two 40-minute sessions of concentrated work on any of your tasks.
All grad students from all disciplines and programs are welcome.
These groups are facilitated by an experienced graduate student peer.
Grad Productivity Group: Actually Work from Home runs on:
- Mondays from 9 – 11 a.m. with Christine A
- Tuesdays from 4 – 6 p.m. with Christine B
- Wednesdays from 4 – 6 p.m. with Angel (New Time!)
- Thursdays from 9 – 11 a.m. with Paul (Hybrid! Join in person or virtually.)
- Thursdays from 4 – 6 p.m. with Rachel
Register on Folio to attend any group, any time! Attend as many sessions as you wish.
An experienced grad student facilitator hosts each session. Participants will identify the work or tasks they want to focus on for 90 minutes with a break. Reconnect at the conclusion.
At the end of the time, group members will comment on how the work went for them.
There will be a brief opportunity for discussion, sharing tips and setting goals if participants choose.

Graduate Writing Groups vs. Grad Productivity Group: Focus on Writing or Tasks
Grad Productivity Group: Actually Work from Home is different from Graduate Writing Groups.
Graduate Writing Groups are your best choice for dedicated weekly writing time and are 2.5 hours long with 2 hours of writing. We strongly recommend these for thesis writing, proposal writing and writing papers.
Grad Productivity Group: Actually Work from Home is an alternate option to work on any of your graduate school work and related tasks. You may intend to tackle emails, filing, paper submission, data analysis or any other to-dos.
You can attend both programs at the same time.
