Most further education programs require that you create a CV, personal statement and/or letter of intent to communicate your intentions and interests for applying to the program.
The CV and Personal Statement Event for Further Education is a popular drop-in event of mini-sessions for you to pick from.
We will introduce key components for writing your application documents for further education. You will have the opportunity to receive support and feedback virtually from career educators and writing instructors in real time, so please bring all your drafts with you!

How The Program Works
Pre-recorded mini-workshops
When you register on CLNx, you will receive an event confirmation email with access to three pre-recorded mini-workshops that offer quick tips and strategies on, ‘How to Write a Personal Statement’, ‘How to Write a Resume or CV for Further Education’, and ‘How to Ask for References’.
Live Q & A and Virtual Gallery Wall sessions
During the CV and Personal Statement Event, you can virtually drop into one of four live virtual Q & A sessions if you have any questions on writing effective application documents after viewing the pre-recorded mini-workshops. Following each live Q&A session, you will have access to the Virtual Gallery Wall to view advice and words of encouragement from U of T staff and faculty as you prepare your further education applications. Contribute to the gallery wall by adding your reflections! A staff member will be there to facilitate a group Q & A and Virtual Gallery Wall.
