Kimberly Elias-Cartwright has been awarded with the Jill Matus Award for Excellence in Student Services.
As Student Life’s manager of strategic initiatives, Elias-Cartwright provides the division with strategic vision – enhancing the design, development and implementation of projects across the St. George campus and beyond.
Through initiatives including the creation of the Co-Curricular Record, supporting Student Life through the COVID-19 pandemic, project-managing the implementation of NAVI and supporting the launch of the Academic Advisors Training Program, Elias-Cartwright has provided insightful leadership with significant and sustained impacts.
“Kim demonstrates leadership, commitment and service in her work, going far beyond the requirements of her role,” says David Newman, Executive Director, Student Experience. “She is a dedicated colleague who works tirelessly to ensure her colleagues are equipped with the tools, resources, skills and knowledge to effectively strive for the best student experience possible.”
Adept at building and sustaining meaningful relationships within her role, Elias-Cartwright is also a valued colleague and mentor.
“Kim has been an incredible mentor to myself and others,” says Meagan Lau, Information Systems Analyst – Salesforce Student Advising Enterprise Applications & Solution Integration, University of Toronto. “She is always ready to provide advice and is intentional in guiding staff towards opportunities for learning and development.”
Elias-Cartwright has earned a reputation for being a service-oriented team player, stepping up to new challenges and going the extra mile in everything she does.
