Starting April 6, trained Health & Wellness peer supporters will be on site at Robarts Library, helping fellow students through times of stress and anxiety.

Located in Room 1152, these trained student supporters can talk through challenging situations, suggest helpful resources, find answers to questions, or simply provide a listening ear. No problem is too big or too small.

“The exam period can be a stressful time,” says Janine Robb, Executive Director at Health & Wellness. “Giving students the option to check in with a peer supporter close to where they may be studying, makes getting help a little easier. Whether it’s five minutes or an hour, students are able to access support where and when they need it.”

In-person help is confidential, one-to-one, and available from Wednesday to Friday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Students are asked to wear a mask, complete a UCheck screening and sign a confidentiality agreement before speaking to a peer supporter. Health & Wellness peer supporters continue to be available for online chats via Zoom.
