CCR Recognition Eligibility

Training sessions are designed for student leaders of recognized campus groups and clubs. While the content is tailored to these leaders, all students interested in learning about the CCR recognition process for clubs are welcome to attend.

Requirements for student groups

The following components are required for all CCR student groups and should be pursued at the start of each academic year.

  1. Become a Student Organization Portal (SOP) recognized group: SOP recognition is required for any student group to apply for CCR credit. Please follow the steps to become SOP Recognized.
  2. Find a Validator: All student groups need to find a full-time continuing staff member or a non-sessional appointed faculty member at the University of Toronto who will serve as the group’s validator. The role of the validator is to help facilitate student groups’ learning process and to ensure that all students in your organization complete their positions in order to be recognized on their respective Co-Curricular Records. Please aim to have a validator for your student group before the start of your CCR application and meet with them at least twice throughout the academic year. Student groups with inquiries about securing a validator or the validation process can contact ccr@utoronto.ca.

CCR Process and Training

Learn how to submit a CCR application for your student group or club and manage your group’s activities through the Folio system.

Responsibilities of Group Representatives

  • Choose your group’s representatives: Ensure that your group’s representatives are prepared to handle the CCR application and process for the year.
  • Complete the CCR process throughout the year: The selected representatives will be responsible for submitting and managing the CCR application and process throughout the year.

Process and Training Overview

  • Secure a validator and understand validation: Discover how to find and secure a staff or faculty validator for your group. Understand the process for validating your group’s members at the end of the year.
  • Submit and renew activities: Understand how to submit new activities and renew existing ones on Folio.
