Grad Productivity and Writing Groups
Accessibility Services offers the Grad Productivity Group, Accessibility Section (GPG-A) and Grad Writing Group, Accessibility Section (GWG-A) in partnership with the Centre for Learning Strategy Support for grad students with accessibility needs who want to work together.
Open to all U of T graduate students who identify as having an accessibility need.
Grad Productivity Group, Accessibility Section
This is a supportive, virtual environment in which to work in company with grad school peers. Join, turn off your other devices and boost your productivity. All graduate students at any stage of their program are welcome.
Join the Accessibility Grad Productivity Group, Accessibility Section on Mondays,10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and Tuesdays, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. online.
Grad Writing Group, Accessibility Section
Concentrate on writing-related tasks/projects. This group is for students who want to work with others who experience graduate school with accessibility needs. The group is facilitated by a Ph.D. student with experience facilitating Graduate Writing Groups and Accessibility programming for students.
Join the Grad Writing Group, Accessibility Section on Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. online.
- A graduate peer facilitator will host the session. Following introductions, participants will identify the work or tasks they want to focus on.
- Reminders/prompts to take short breaks (e.g., 5 minutes) will be included at various points during the session.
- At the end of the time, group members will comment on how the work went for them.
- Opportunity for discussion, sharing of tips, setting of next goals etc. briefly, if participants choose, will also be included.
- You will receive an invitation to join an MS Teams virtual meeting prior to the start of the session.
Format: Grad Productivity Groups and Grad Writing Groups will be offered virtually via MS Teams.

Participation: Being on camera, using your mic, or participating in the chat are all optional. We welcome you to participate in a way that works for you. Joining and participating from a quiet area/space to focus on your work is best if that is possible.
Materials: Please have the materials you will need for the work or tasks that you want to focus on during the session.
Platform Access Information: This event will be delivered using MS Teams. Please ensure your MS Teams access is up to date to make the most of this session. ADHD Study Hubs
These hybrid hubs are designed to provide a supportive and structured environment for individuals with ADHD to enhance their study skills, connect with peers, and access valuable resources. Connect with others who understand the challenges and strengths of ADHD to take a step towards better study habits!
Join an ADHD Study Hub every other Wednesday from 3 – 4:30 p.m. online or in person at 455 Spadina Avenue, 4th floor.
- Focused Study Sessions: Quiet, distraction-free zones to help you concentrate on your work.
- Expert Guidance: Each study hub will open with a mini learning strategy session facilitated by Accessibility Services Learning Strategist, Dr. Katie Rowland.
- Peer Support: The majority of the study hub will be peer-led. Guided by the Pomodoro technique, peers will lead you through two rounds of 25-minute focused study sessions, separated by a quick break at the halfway point and a debrief session afterwards.
