The Leadership for Grads workshops have instilled in me the right mindset for creating and sustaining a positive environment around me. It also provided me with interesting ideas and practices that I can chew on and use as I develop my own habits in the workshop. Overall, it was a constructive, engaging and very relevant experience that complements my curriculum and research work as a grad and will shape me as a more well-rounded individual in the future.

I am confident that the opportunity to enhance my interpersonal and communication skills provided by the Leadership for Grads program will serve me well on my path to building a career as an educator, music performer and scholar. Through participating in the Leadership for Grads program, I have become more aware of my strengths and how I can leverage them in leadership positions. Ultimately, I came away with a sense of empowerment, having been reminded that anyone can envision a better future, and that even the small actions of individuals, regardless of their station in life, can help lead to positive changes and make a difference in the lives of others.
