The University of Toronto offers a variety of curricular community-engaged learning courses.
Curricular community-engaged learning focuses equally on the student and the community organization. The placement activity is designed by U of T faculty and staff, in collaboration with a community partner. It will address priorities identified by that organization, closely aligned with the purpose of the academic course. Community-engaged learning course placements are like an experiential text. They provide primary source material from which you can draw new frames of reference, perspectives and knowledge.
The Centre for Community Partnerships supports CEL course instructors and community partners. Students interested in taking a CEL course should refer to their departments and course catalogues.
