We know that your first-year experience was unusual, so as you get ready to start your second year at U of T we’re here to help.

You may have questions about the campus resources available to you, connecting with other students, or other aspects of the in-person university experience. There are programs, services and resources to help you adjust to life on campus, in Toronto and in Canada. You’re invited to attend any events in the Division of Student Life that are about welcoming students to campus.

You can follow this link to find out about orientation events online and on the St. George campus. These include events about finding housing, fine-tuning your academic skills for the university experience, connecting with like-minded people at U of T and more. You’ll learn about places, spaces and people, including the University’s campuses and divisions. (Be sure to check with your college or faculty because they’ll have lots of stuff going on too.)

Be sure to visit our Summer calendar & checklist page, and download the calendar and checklist (PDF) to get tips to set yourself up for success before you get to campus in September. Not all will apply to you as a second year student, but some may be helpful. Use the calendar to check out events and workshops to help you prepare for life on campus.
