The ASKme program is back, running from August 18 – September 8, 2025. The familiar orange booths will be popping up all over the St. George Campus, signalling the start of a new school year and letting U of T students know that friendly folks are ready to help by answering questions and offering tips, advice and resources.

The ASKme team, featuring staff, upper-year students and recent grads, works diligently every year to create a welcoming environment for new students as they arrive on campus. The result is consistently positive, enabling students to feel more confident as they navigate their surroundings. Last year ASKme volunteers answered thousands of questions, once again proving the program to be critical resource for the entire U of T community.

Staff and faculty are encouraged to participate by wearing an ASKme button to show that they’re willing to answer questions. Buttons are available at any of the following locations:

  • Centre for International Experience reception, 33 St. George St.
  • Student Life reception, 800 Bay St. 5th floor
  • Hart House Information Services Desk (ISD), 7 Hart House Circle
  • ASKme booth at King’s College Rd. & College St., at the campus gates (weather permitting)

Participants don’t need to have all the answers to be helpful. Here are some general places to refer students:

Wear your ASKme button from August 18 – September 8. ASKme is a Student Life initiative. For more information or to request buttons, contact Diana Scattolon at diana.scattolon@utoronto.ca.
