It is recommended that you apply at your earliest once the applications open since on-campus space is highly limited, and space is not guaranteed. An offer of admission to the University is not required to apply for residence.
The U of T Residence Portal is the tool you will use to apply for residence. Applicants for 2026-27 can log in starting January 15, 2026, at 12 p.m. EST when the Graduate Residences applications open.

Apply through the St. George General Residence Application starting March 1, 2026, at 12 p.m. for the following residences:

Enable your JOIN/UTORid.
STEP 3
Log in to the Residence Portal to complete your application(s).
STEP 4
Check the status of your application(s) in the Residence Portal.
Graduate students may live away from the campus where they are studying. For transportation between campuses, a shuttle bus operates between U of T Mississauga and U of T St. George, and the TTC and GO Transit are options between U of T St. George and U of T Scarborough.
If you prefer more options, an independent residence or living off campus might be good alternatives.
