How would your student experience change if the demands of university life were more manageable? Instead of struggling with overwhelming thoughts or emotions, attend Better Coping Skills sessions to recognize thoughts that are getting in the way of your success and create a toolkit to improve self-management.
Benefits:
- Build skills to address unhelpful thinking.
- Address difficulties with mood and anxiety.
- Learn to tolerate and regulate emotions that are getting in the way.
- Improve balance in day-to-day life.
You can also learn better coping skills any time through the Better Coping Skills Online Workshop. This online series is available to students who want to develop strategies they can use in everyday life to engage in more balanced thinking and deal with negative emotions. It was designed by Health & Wellness counsellors at the University of Toronto with you in mind. It is a first step to better coping skills, and should be used to complement other supportive resources such as your family, friends and community.
