Support your wellbeing with programs designed for Indigenous students and facilitated by U of T’s Indigenous Wellness Counsellor & Coordinator.
These programs are open to all U of T Indigenous students and draw on practices, traditions and ways of knowing from many Indigenous Nations. By participating, you will be able to:
- Connect with other Indigenous students in a supportive, welcoming environment.
- Reconnect with culture, identity, community and tradition in a meaningful way.
- Experience Indigenous cultural practices that support holistic wellness and coping.
Indigenous HAND Drumming Circle
Join the hand drumming circle series focused on connection, community, and wellness. Through guided drumming, song, and sharing, participants can explore practices that support holistic wellbeing across the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions. Teachings and songs will be shared from various Indigenous Nations allowing space for shared learning.
No previous drumming experience is needed. Students are welcome to attend all four workshops in the series or participate in as many sessions as they are able.

Reconnecting with the Land: Regulating Mind, Body, Spirit.
Spend time on the Land, connect with other Indigenous students, and engage in grounding activities that support emotional regulation, reflection, and overall wellness. Together, we’ll engage in practices and cultural teachings that deepen our connection to the Land, ourselves, and one another.
