Academic Success has changed its name to the Centre for Learning Strategy Support (CLSS), effective May 1, 2024.

While the name is new, the work will remain the same. Students can continue to meet with Learning Strategists and trained peers dedicated to helping them enhance their approach to studying and learning at U of T.

“The Centre for Learning Strategy Support captures with much greater clarity the unique thing we offer students in service of their learning,” says John Hannah, Director of the Centre for Learning Strategy Support. “The academic success of students is a concern of all work at the University, so Academic Success made for a pretty imprecise departmental name.”

We ask that you please update any links on websites or digital resources and any information in publications or print materials. Phone numbers, locations, and services remain the same. Only the name, email address and URL need to change.

Starting May 1, the department’s new information will be:

Centre for Learning Strategy Support
800 Bay Street, 5th floor
416-979-7970
clss@utoronto.ca
learningstrategy.utoronto.ca

Through CLSS, students have access to a wide range of programming, and can work with learning strategists, peer mentors and tutors to find strategies and plans that work with their unique learning contexts.

An online resource library is available 24/7, as well as asynchronous programming that enables students to build skills at their own pace. With opportunities to connect with other students and learn through multiple formats, CLSS offers U of T students a way to find community as they study and learn.
