The Accessibility Services Student Advisory Committee is a joint effort between students and Accessibility Services staff to advise and inform matters relating to the Accessibility Services office (St. George campus), including the enhancement of the disability service model to and for students.
Eligibility and Recruitment
Any student who is registered with Accessibility Services is eligible to apply.
Recruitment for student members of the committee usually happens around September. Recruitment announcements are shared through the Accessibility Services Student Newsletter, which is sent via email to students who are registered with Accessibility Services.
Membership and Meetings
The committee consists of 10-15 members, with 2/3 of membership being composed of students and no more than 1/3 being composed of staff.
Meetings occur monthly from September to April. Specific topics are generally chosen in advance of each meeting to focus discussion.
If you would like to submit ideas for discussion by the committee, please email accessibility.sac@utoronto.ca.
