Living in residence over the summer lets you enjoy the convenience of living on campus at a reduced cost, while getting to know Toronto and meeting new people from all over the world.
Summer residence is open from as early as May until as late as the end of August.
A variety of residence styles are available on the St. George, UTM, and UTSC campuses, including:
- dormitory-style (single and double rooms in large residence halls with communal eating facilities)
- shared apartment-style (mostly single rooms in a same-gender or gender-inclusive apartment with shared kitchen, living area, and washrooms)
- shared houses (single and double rooms in shared townhouses and historic homes)
Meal plans are offered for a fee in certain residences. Our campuses offer a number of food choices, with vegetarian options at all cafeterias and vegan and halal options available at some. You can personalize your meal plans to suit your appetite, whether you eat a little or a lot.
Use our Summer Residence Guide (PDF) to help you narrow your search and then simply contact the residence(s) you are interested in for more info and/or to book your stay.
Visit affiliated and independent residences for additional information on fees, features and amenities.
If summer residence isn’t for you, consider subletting. Students going home for the summer holidays often sublet their places over the break. Visit the Off-Campus Housing Finder to see if there is a suitable sublet for you!
