There may be a variety of financial aids (grants and bursaries) available for students with disabilities. Speak with your accessibility advisor about possible disability-related financial assistance.
Apply for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (or the equivalent program in your home province) to determine whether you are eligible for any of the following:
- Bursary for Students with Disabilities (BSWD)
- Canada Student Grant for Students with Disabilities
- Canada Student Grant for Services and Equipment – Students with Disabilities
- The ability to take a reduced course load (as low as 40% or 2 courses) and still receive financial support if you have a permanent disability.
Please note: We cannot provide reimbursements for psycho-educational or other assessments and equipment that have not been approved in advance through our office. You must meet with your accessibility advisor to discuss disability-related financial assistance.
Returning students: Contact Accessibility Services Reception to schedule an appointment with your Accessibility Advisor to discuss disability-related financial assistance.
New students (Financial support for documents to register): For information about financial support to get required documents for registration with Accessibility Services (e.g. Certificate of Disability (PDF)), contact Accessibility Services Reception for guidance on next steps.
