Assessment (through surveys, focus groups, interviews or other methods) is how we make sure current Student Life programs are relevant and effective. It’s also how we identify unmet needs and develop new programs to address those gaps.
We work with other departments and student organizations to design and implement assessment projects. We provide training in developing student learning outcomes.
Moving from Forum to REDCap
For the past 4 years we have provided free access to an assessment service provider called Forum. However, our contract with Forum is ending on July 31, 2026. We are moving over to REDCap, institutionally supported by The Academic, Research & Collaborative Technologies group within Information Technology Services. The Centre for Research Innovation & Support has resources and training materials for users, and we are working with the team and current users to transition to the new system. As a reminder, the use of tools that are not institutionally supported continues to be discouraged.
