Join the new Seeds of Change Food Justice Program and have an impact on the food crisis in the city.
Seeds of Change connects you with volunteer opportunities at a local nonprofit or grassroots organization that addresses food security or food justice issues. Learn from community experts, reflect on your learning and meet other students interested in food security at monthly lunches.
This program not only supports food initiatives in our communities but will also allow you to:
- Learn about issues in Toronto’s food systems and how organizations are supporting food access in the city.
- Develop your reflective practice and deepen your understanding of yourself.
- Make connections with local experts in the field of food justice.
- Gain valuable experience in a field that interests you and explore careers in the community.
If you have an access need for an event or meeting, please email Janet Fitzsimmons at janet.fitzsimmons@utoronto.ca and we will work with you to make appropriate arrangements.
