Our multiple, intersectional identities are intrinsically tied to how we find and show up at work – so let’s chat about it!
Identities @ Work brings together students, recent alumni, a career educator, and a campus partner to discuss, unpack, challenge and reflect on questions about work and our identities. We begin our sessions with a short presentation led by a campus partner, followed-up by dialogue and space to connect across and between the intersections of our identities. In the last fifteen minutes, we will move into a process of co-researching and reimagining the world of work as it relates to identity.
Some of the things we talk about:
- Sexual and gender identity
- Integrating religious values and careers
- Caregiving and job searching
- Identifying anti-racist employers
- Networking without privilege
- Disabilities and careers
- Finding employment in Canada
