International Student Experience Ambassador Program
A new program for the summer of 2019
The International Student Experience (ISE) Ambassador Program is a new opportunity for incoming international students at the University of Toronto to get as many questions answered as possible before arriving at U of T later this summer.
The program is currently available through the following faculties:
- Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering
- Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education (KPE)
- Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design
- Faculty of Music
If your faculty is not listed, our ISE Ambassadors won’t be able to answer your faculty specific questions but they can definitely share their experiences of being a U of T student and living in Toronto!
Meet the ISE Ambassadors
Hello everyone, my name is Betina Dela Cerna and I am an incoming 3rd year undergraduate student under the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education. I am very excited and amazed to be part of this new program! I am delighted to share my knowledge of the faculty (some tips and tricks around the campus) to all of you! Kin is fun and I am a witness to that! I am also honoured to represent the University of Toronto in an International Student accommodation program such as this one! Thank you for taking the time to browse through our university webpage and I am hoping that you can also find home at the University of Toronto! (Trust me, we'll help you get there!)
Hello every fellow international students who are about to start your exciting journey in U of T! My name is Yixin, one of the International Student Experience Ambassadors. I study Electrical and Computer Engineering under Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering. In my free time, I love photography, hiking, exercising and cooking delicious food for friends and myself! I look forward to talking with you and answering your questions about university life!
I am a 4th-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE) here at the University of Toronto. Being an international student from Kenya, I am excited to converse with you as an ISE Ambassador because I understand how overwhelming it can be living and schooling in a place far from home.
My name is Julie, I am currently in my fourth year of Kinesiology. I was born in Korea but I have been living in Canada since I was 4. I visit Korea every year but I would love to travel the world some day and learn more about the different cultures of the world. As an ISE Ambassador at U of T, I strive to welcome all students on a professional and personal level!
Hi, my name is Eimy Ramirez. I am going to 4th year and I am doing a design specialist in architectural studies at the Daniels faculty. As an international student myself I'm very excited to be part of this program and help future students ease their transition to Toronto and the university.
Born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka, I am a third-year student studying Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies specializing in Technology with a Minor in Human Geography at the University of Toronto’s John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design. What excites me most in being an ISE Ambassador this summer is to share my personal experiences as an international student as well as to join hands with the CIE team at U of T to provide a smooth transition for the upcoming batch of international students this fall.
