How to get your TCard during COVID-19

While all university buildings remain closed due to the circumstances of COVID-19, physical TCards will not be issued. However, TCard Services is offering online appointments to activate your UTORid and U of T email.

Your UTORid and U of T email give you access to a variety of online tools and services. Your U of T email will be one of your main modes of communication with the University, such as for contacting your professors and instructors, and receiving U of T wide updates. It grants you full access to Microsoft Office tools that you can use online or download to your devices. You will also need your UTORid to use online library resources and Quercus, an online portal for all your courses.

If you are enrolled in a summer course or if you are a newly admitted student starting in the fall, you can schedule an online appointment to activate your UTORid by logging in to CLNx.utoronto.ca using the JOINid/UTORid and password that was provided to you during registration.

Students starting in the fall will need to submit a photo using the new MyPhoto system. Your photo will be used for your physical TCard, which you will be able to obtain when the University re-opens. More details about MyPhoto can be found at uoft.me/myphoto

Once you’ve submitted a photo, you can book an appointment to activate your UTORid by logging in to CLNx.utoronto.ca using the JOINid/UTORid and password that was provided to you during registration.

At your online appointment, you will need to verify your identity by showing your face via webcam and presenting valid government-issued photo identification.

For more information on how to book an online appointment or to learn more about TCard Services, please visit tcard.utoronto.ca.
