Mature & Transfer Student Welcome
Whether you are transferring from another post-secondary institution or are continuing your educational journey after a few (or many) years, you may have questions about life at U of T.
It is with this in mind that we invite new mature and transfer students to a special welcome where you can ask the questions that are pertinent to you and connect with helpful on-campus resources.
The Mature & Transfer Student Welcome will be hosted twice this year, once as an evening session and then again as a morning session the next day:
- Tuesday, September 4, 5:30 p.m.– 8:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, September 5, 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
You need only to register for one session as the content will be the same in both. Both sessions will be held in the Main Activity Hall of the Multi-Faith Centre at Koffler House, located on the second floor of 569 Spadina Avenue.
The tentative schedule for the Mature & Transfer Student Welcome is as follows:
Check-In & Light Meal | Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. / Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.
After checking in at the registration table, you will be welcomed into the space by a light dinner on Tuesday evening or a light breakfast on Wednesday morning.
Welcome & Presentation | Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. / Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
The presentation will follow a brief welcome, and will provide you with helpful information about U of T’s St. George campus, academic expectations and support services, health and wellness resources, and how to get involved in and around your new campus community.
Student Panel | Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. / Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
A panel of upper-year mature and transfer students will share their experiences at U of T and answer questions from the audience.
Resource Fair | Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. / Wednesday at 10:45 a.m.
We will wrap by giving you an opportunity to meet with staff members and student groups to learn more about the programs, services, and resources available to you.
The Mature & Transfer Student Welcome is open to all new undergraduate students on the St. George campus who are transferring from another post-secondary institution or are not starting at U of T directly after completing high school.
There are two sessions available for your convenience. You need only to register for one session as the content will be the same in both.
