Get your year off to a good start by learning the basics of being a successful student at U of T. Through presentation, discussion and hands-on exercises, this workshop will help you:

  • understand the difference between high school and university learning
  • develop effective study strategies, such as active reading, note-taking & review
  • build healthy habits and resilient attitudes to support your learning
  • identify helpful academic resources that will support you through the year
  • set academic and personal goals for the semester
