If you are preparing to come to U of T, you have probably started to think about where you will live while you study here. You will have many options to choose from. This page provides information about what’s available and how you can find your new home here.
To begin, if you are interested in living in an on-campus residence, you must complete a MyRes application. Space is limited, so you should apply early – even before you are admitted to the University.

Housing Services at U of T

Several of the residences at the University of Toronto are available for graduate students. For details about on-campus housing for graduate students, please see the graduate students section of the appropriate campus on the Student Housing Services website.

Student family housing
If you are a student with a family you may be eligible for Student Family Housing on the St. George or Mississauga campuses. We encourage you to apply online as soon as you are considering attending U of T.
Student Family Housing is currently not available at UTSC. For more information about housing at UTSC, please contact the Student Housing & Residence Life office.
Temporary Housing is short-term accommodation where you can stay for a day, a week or several weeks at a time. Our listings are located close to campus and/or are easily accessible by public transit.
Temporary housing is ideal for:
Students requiring urgent accommodation while searching for long-term housing
Visiting friends and families
Visiting faculty members and students
Winter break housing (most of U of T's residences close during the winter break)
