Shared Spaces at the 21 Sussex Clubhouse

The Sussex Clubhouse (Floors 4, 5 & 6 of 21 Sussex Avenue) offers the following spaces for members of campus groups that have been recognized by the University of Toronto. Questions about the use of the space should be directed to staff of Student Life.

Please note that the shared spaces at 21 Sussex Clubhouse are closed during the holiday long weekends.

Campus Group Resource Centre

The Campus Groups Resource Centre is dedicated to recognized campus group use. Student Leaders who are valid Group Leaders on Ulife may login to the computers in the Resource Centre using their UTORid and password. The Resource Centre offers group leaders access to standard office software, e-mail and web browsing software, web editing and design applications, and full Adobe Creative Suite software.

Xerox photocopying and printing services are available. Groups are asked to provide a cheque made payable to "The University of Toronto" for $25 for 1000 black-and-white or 100 colour copies. The group will be provided a receipt and a printer code.

Staff from the Office of Student Life are available to assist users with any questions or concerns. The Campus Group Resource Centre is open from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 12:00 noon to 5:00pm on Fridays, during the regular academic periods.

In the summer, the hours are limited to 12pm to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Meeting Rooms

Room 415 seats 8 to 10 people and has recently been refurbished. The room is booked on a first-come, first-served basis by sign-up on the door to the room.

Room 503 seats 10 to 15 people. The room is booked on a first-come, first-served basis by sign-up on the door to the room.

Rehearsal Room

Room 406 is available for recognized campus groups rehearsing and practicing music, dance, theatre or other performing arts.

The rehearsal room booking policy recently changed:

Term bookings will be posted on the booking sheets outside the room on the 1st of every month. They may be made by emailing the Program officer at groups.officer@utoronto.ca by the last day of the preceding month.

One-off bookings of the room or bookings between updates to the booking sheets may be made by sign up on the booking sheets that are posted outside the room.

Sussex Clubhouse Lounge

Room 421 is a place for student leaders to eat their lunch, read a book, or simply relax between classes and meetings. The Sussex Clubhouse Lounge is a great place to meet up with friends and just hang out.

Multi-Faith Prayer / Meditation Room

A small room is available for individual or group prayers, meditation, or other spiritual activities. The room is carpeted and has no chairs nor furnishings. Individuals may use the room at their convenience. Multi-faith based groups looking for bookable prayer space should check with the Multi-faith Centre.
